RATING SYSTEM
Before starting this blog I started reviewing books on
Amazon and Goodreads. Now that I am
official :-), I decided to step up my review game. Because of my desire to give fair and impartial
reviews I have developed the following 5 star rating system based on the following
criteria:
My
overall impression of the book (1-2 stars)

How do I feel
about your book
o
Do I want to re-read it as soon as I’m finished
Charters
(1 star)
o
Do I care about your character
o
Were they intriguing or boring
o
If you write character that I love to hate
that still earns you a star
Plot (1 star)
o
Does your plot pass the “so what test”
o
Do I care about the outcome of the book?
Writing
(specifically the grammar and flow – 1 star)
o
Is the book an easy read
o
Are there numerous grammatical errors
o
Does the story float off the page
How I feel about the book is important to me (which is why it holds the
most rating weight), but I want to give authors substantial reasons for their
star rating.

I reserve the right to decline your
request however, I will respond within a week letting you know if I accept or
decline your request
I get my book reviews out within 2-6 weeks of the acceptance date. If I am delayed in time-frame I will let you
know ahead of time
If it is an ARC, I will post the review on
